تفاوت نوشتار مردانه و زنانه و نحوه پرداختن به مسائل زنان در دوران معاصر مورد توجه منتقدان به خصوص «نقد ادبی فمینیستی» قرار گرفته است. از نگاه ایشان مردان با نگاه مردسالارانه، تصویر متفاوتی از زنان در آثار خود ارائه می‌دهند و برخلاف نویسندگان زن، بر نقش‌های خاصی از زنان تاکید می‌کنند که متناسب با فرهنگ مردسالارانه آن‌هاست؛ ازاین رو نحوه حضور زنان در آثار ادبی و چگونگی شخصیت‌پردازی آنها را می‌توان در محتوا و سبک ادبی نویسندگان مشاهده نمود. با این فرض، پژوهش حاضر با انتخاب دو نویسنده معاصر کویتی؛ «خوله القزوینی» با رمان «مطلّقة من واقع الحیاة» و «سعود السنعوسی» با رمان «ساقُ البامبو» تلاش دارد به شیوه توصیفی ـ تحلیلی، نحوه بازنمایی تصویر زنان را بررسی و تفاوت دو نویسنده را در پرداختن به موضوع روشن کند. بر اساس بخشی از دستاوردهای پژوهش، دو رمان اگرچه از حضور زنان استفاده کرده است، اما از نظر حضور زنان در مرکز حوادث و تاثیرگذاری مثبت و منفی آنها بر طرح داستان متفاوت عمل کرده‌اند. تصویر پردازش شده در رمان خوله، تصویری متعادل از یک زن است که سرانجام به تعادل شخصیتی و نقشی در زندگی می‌رسد، اما در رمان السنعوسی، زنان درگیر مسائل خود هستند. در سبک نیز، القزوینی برخلاف السنعوسی از جمله‌های کوتاه و منقطع، توصیف با جزئی‌نگری و تعبیرهای مربوط به دنیای زنانه استفاده نموده است که بیانگر تفاوت نگاه دو نویسنده است.

The difference between men's and women's writing and the way women's issues are addressed in the contemporary era have been the focus of critics, especially "feminist literary criticism". From their point of view, men with a patriarchal view present a different image of women in their works and unlike female writers; They emphasize certain roles of women that fit their patriarchal culture; thus, the way women are presented in literary works and how they are portrayed can be seen in the content and literary style of authors. Following this assumption; the present research by choosing two contemporary Kuwaiti authors; Khawla al-Qazwini with her novel "Mutallaqa Men Waqe Al-Hayyat" and Saud al-Sanausi with his novel " Saq Al-Bamboo" attempts to explore the representation of women’s image in a descriptive-analytical way and clarify the differences in the approach of the two authors. According to some of the research findings, although the two novels used the presence of women, they differed in terms of the presence of women in the center of events and their positive and negative impact on the plot. The processed image in Khawla's novel is a well-adjusted image of a woman finally reaching a balance of personality and a role in life; but in Saud al-Sanausi’s novel, the women are engaged in their own issues. In terms of style, al-Qazwini, unlike Saud al-Sanausi, uses short and cut-off sentences, descriptions with a detailed look and interpretations related to the world of women as well, which expresses the difference in the views of the two authors
